Your Role as Manager of Legal Services:

Choose your own adventure! Let's talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As the Manager of Legal Services, your role will include:

Leading and mentoring a team of paralegals. Overseeing the review, identification, analysis, and mitigation of commercial risks and liabilities in bid documents, client agreements, active projects, and supplier agreements. Overseeing the drafting of a range of contract documents with clients, suppliers and subconsultants. Communicating, both verbally and written, negotiated commercial terms with clients, suppliers and subconsultants. Assisting project teams with interpreting contract and statutory language. Managing contract changes and assisting with the resolution of claims. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, planners, and technical teams to ensure alignment of risk strategies in pursuit of project opportunities. Understanding standard form construction agreements, professional service agreements and the ability to recognize risk and negotiate liability caps, indemnity clauses, standard of care obligations, intellectual property rights, insurance requirements, and other commercial terms and conditions. Embrace AI-powered contract review tools or show the flexibility to learn and adapt quickly.
