Role Summary:



The Manager of Finance plays a key operational leadership role within the Finance department, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial functions and supporting the accounting team. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial reporting, as well as coaching and developing team members. The Manager of Finance is a hands-on leader who provides technical financial guidance, ensures adherence to internal controls, and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The individual in this role is to be hard working, diligent, detail oriented and possess excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.

This position reports to the President.

Primary Responsibilities:



Supervise, mentor, and support the Finance/Accounting team in daily operations

Oversee financial reporting processes including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts

Conduct variance, trend, and performance analyses to identify key financial insights Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies Collaborate with the Management Team Finance on audit preparation and regulatory reporting (e.g., RIBO, tax, etc.) Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and financial transactions Monitor cash flow and assist with liquidity planning Lead or support finance-related projects, such as system/process improvements or automation initiatives Maintain financial data integrity and ensure deadlines are met consistently Provide training and development opportunities for finance staff to build team capability

Role Requirements:



CPA designation (or working toward) preferred 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial roles, including supervisory experience Solid understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements Insurance industry experience is highly preferred Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel (advanced level) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and manage performance of team members Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,822.21-$119,905.89 per year
