Job Description


Reporting to the Director of Northern Outreach and Virtual Care, OPOP and ECHO, and working closely with the Medical Director of the Northern Ontario Psychiatric Outreach Program at CAMH (NPOP-C), Medical Head of TeleMental Health (TMH), Physician Lead for Indigenous TeleMental Health and the Medical Director of Virtual Mental Health and Outreach, this position will support the management and coordination of: clinical services, education, research and evaluation, quality improvement, finance, budgeting and human resources of the Northern Outreach and Virtual Care portfolio, as well as special projects core to the overall outreach portfolio.

The Northern Outreach and Virtual Care program provides clinical outreach service and education to areas in Northern Ontario designated as underserviced through a hybrid service model of virtual care and in-person (fly-in and drive-in) services.

This role will support ongoing administration relating to managing budgets, supervising staff, coordinating clinical service delivery, reporting on activity and outcome of the services to funders, Ministry-specific reporting, overseeing the coordination or outreach related resident activity, scheduling and coordinating meetings, developing processes to ensure aligned and efficient workflows, and leading quality improvement initiatives that will optimize daily operations and help advance the Northern Outreach and Virtual Care program within the field of outreach and increase the quality of services our program is able to deliver. You will be responsible for managing human resources of northern outreach staff; including scheduling/payroll, recruitment, performance management, team planning, development, implementation, and evaluation, as well supporting staff professional development and providing direct supervision to members of the administrative team. You may also be called upon to participate in and represent Management in negotiations with Bargaining Agents. In addition, this role will be responsible for the management and coordination of knowledge translation, exchange & mobilization (KTEM) projects, quality improvement and program evaluation initiatives that will strengthen the overall portfolio, including supporting original research related to improving capacity in underserviced areas. These include initiatives focused on Indigenous mental health and wellness, developmental trauma, and arts-based therapies.

This role will ensure that both the Northern Outreach and Virtual Care program and KTEM policies and procedures are conducted in accordance with CAMH policies, and will help ensure that funding is spent in accordance with funder agreements and Ministry requirements. This role will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to implement program development initiatives including collaborations and partnerships that will support continued integration and alignment of CAMH Outreach services within northern communities; develop and coordinate integration and evaluation of Virtual Care and Fly-in/Drive-in Psychiatric Services; and integration of special projects, education and research into the overall portfolio of Northern Outreach and Virtual Care, OPOP and ECHO. This position is currently located at 1051 Queen Street.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Health or Public Administration, with three years of related experience and familiarity managing complex budgets, engaging stakeholders, and driving quality improvement initiatives. Familiarity with Northern/rural Ontario communities is an asset. Superior coordination skills are required. Supervisory experience within a unionized environment is an asset. Experience working with physicians, in medical education and community engagement are assets. Experience with qualitative research methods is an asset. Certification in quality improvement and/or project management methodology is considered an asset. Demonstrated proficiency in various PC hardware and software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point, Word, Access), REDCap, Zoom/Webex are required. Familiarity with OTN/e-Health is an asset. You will possess knowledge of mental health and addictions systems, as well as provincial healthcare systems as they relate to psychiatric outreach and virtual care service delivery. You will bring experience in partnership development and program planning, as well as experience working in an academic hospital. You will understand policy development and process redesign approaches. You will also possess knowledge in the area of diversity and cultural competence. Excellent communication skills (oral/written), exceptional organizational skills and professionalism are required for this position. You possess excellent judgment, tact and diplomacy to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

Please Note: This full-time, temporary (12 months) position is NOT part of any bargaining unit.
