Summary:
The Manager North America (NA) Capital & MRO Procurement plays a critical role in building strong internal and external relationships that enable McCain Foods to purchase quality equipment, spare parts and services that deliver superior value over the long term, adhering to the principles of ethical procurement, operating with integrity and ensuring fair and transparent business dealings.

This role is responsible for leading ~ CAD $500 million in Capital and MRO spend across sixteen factories located in the United States and Canada and (2) two strategic sourcing team members . The team is responsible for the development and delivery of MRO category strategies, embedding safety into our supplier interactions, and achieving savings targets as set by the organization
Key Accountabilities:

• 
  Engage and leverage the Global Spend to understand the global perspective to quickly assimilate external information (e.g., market drivers, macroeconomic conditions, etc.) to anticipate its impact across the NA business and develop associated strategies and action plans to maximize the opportunity.
• Develop and ensure the effective implementation of corporate procurement and supply chain strategies to harness economies of scale, drive economic value, and enable business growth.
• Develop a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) focused strategy for the NA Capital & MRO spend area and lead the sourcing strategy to deliver substantial sustainable cost savings targets in MRO.
• Drive supplier performance management and relationship programs for the relative MRO markets to deliver significant value for McCain Foods.
• Build strong relationships with Manufacturing and Plant leadership across McCain\xe2\x80\x99s NA network.
• Ensure company purchases comply with company internal controls requirements.
• Build organizational capability within the team through procurement core skills training, development and coaching.
• Drive individual accountability for performance deliverables in the NA Capital/MRO team.

Requirements:

• 
  Bachelor\'s degree in Business or Technical area is required.
• A total of 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in procurement preferably with pertinent experiences in the Capital and MRO procurement category spend areas.
• Strong core Procurement experience and skills.
• Experience in facility expansion and new expansion (construction/utilities/water).
• Procurement support for the NA Regional Capital plan for manufacturing plants.
• Experience building and developing a successful team.
• Sourcing plan and strategy development
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
• Proven negotiating/ influencing skills.
• Experience working in SAP and Coupa or similar system is preferred (Coupa is used for Sourcing and Reporting of Procurement activities).

Travel: This role requires 20-40% travel throughout the United States and Canada.
