Our expectations

The Manager, Merchandise Planning leads assortment planning and in-season performance management to ensure that we deliver on our sales, margin, and inventory objectives. The incumbent leads a team of Analysts to build range and inventory targets, advises Merchant partners on actions to optimize performance, and ensures leadership has accurate forecasts to take decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong partnership, analytical and problem-solving skills to lead the evolution of this function.

Your role

Seasonal Management Processes

Own seasonal and new item forecast processes and reporting that deliver on sales, margin, and inventory targets
Act as business lead on seasonal forecast and performance management and processes tools, this could include executing analyses or partnering with IT and / or Finance as required

Seasonal Management

Lead the creation of sales, margin, inventory, and range targets for seasonal categories from pre-planning to post-mortem analysis.
Execute analyses to identify trends and insights to improve cross-category performance
Ensure item-level forecasts are accurate meet budget targets and
apply performance opportunities
Lead performance review and actioning in-season, partnering with Merchandise Directors and VPs
Ensure budget metrics are met by reviewing actual results compared to forecast and recommend markdown and purchase decisions across multiple categories to meet overall budget commitments as part of weekly and monthly business review processes
Maintain inventory forecast for seasonal categories

Product Line Review Forecasts

Identify best practices to create new item and total volume forecasts as part of the Product Line Review process
Review forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance to inventory guardrails

The qualifications we are looking for

Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Experience influencing others and in relationship building
Strong analytical, financial acumen and problem-solving skills
Strong organization skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
