We are searching for a

Manager, Marketing and Digital Engagement

to join our Marketing team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.


Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Manager of Marketing and Digital Engagement is part of the Brand Team, a dynamic group of professionals who collaborate to inspire meaningful experiences through the delivery of strategic and brand-aligned content. Operating as an in-house agency for Shannex, the Brand Team provides subject matter expertise, leadership and creative services in the areas of marketing, communications, sales and service excellence. Our work supports every operating division across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario.


As the successful candidate, you are a subject matter expert in campaign planning and management (including trafficking assets to vendors and overseeing reporting), digital journey-mapping, CRM/CMS, marketing automation and conversion measurement. You think beyond paid advertising and take an integrated approach to optimizing user experiences with earned, shared and owned content. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating with others to create efficient strategies based on your experience and knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

About the Opportunity




Develop and leads campaigns, projects and activities as required to support marketing, sales, employer brand, and business objectives (includes corporate, regional and site-specific initiatives) Manage agency partner relationships, projects and deliverables Provide data and reporting to enhance plans/creative Manage key elements of the annual digital audit process, ensuring consistency and accuracy in content that aligns with marketing points of differentiation. Works with internal and external content contributors and partners to ensure Shannex's various web platforms are optimized and adhere to best practices (e.g. brand voice alignment, differentiation, market positioning, SEO), including continuous improvement projects requiring content and website development. Considers data a key driver of insights, using CRM tools and available analytics to nurture relationships with audiences who matter most to Shannex (current and future residents, loved ones, team members) by understanding flow of traffic and efficacy of content at all stages of the digital journey Oversee the creation, testing and deployment of automated messaging and pathways and leverages automation to deliver well-timed, well-crafted content Identifies opportunities to strengthen our brand(s), within the Brand Team and across the organization Proactively identifies and advocates for incremental improvements, optimizing what's possible in existing frameworks and thinking creatively to deliver the best impression and digital experience possible

About You




In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:


5-7 years in progressive marketing or agency accounting roles with proven success in campaign planning/development/management, CRM/CMS, information architecture navigation, marketing automation, audience segmentation, user experience, and data analysis/reporting. Digital campaigns, agency experience, copywriting, usability testing, social media and content management, accessibility standards and Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation. A clear, curious, compassionate and collaborative approach is required to understand priorities, convey recommended approaches and build relationships through information-sharing. Developing integrated marketing and digital engagement solutions that leverage paid, earned, shared and owned media; presenting strategies to others to gain consensus and support. Understanding how Paid, Earned, Shared, and Owned media interact to support lead generation, engagement and visitor experiences
