This role is a critical part of our maintenance transformation and continuous improvement strategy for 2025 and beyond. By optimizing processes, strengthening vendor partnerships, and leveraging a data-driven approach, the position will directly support our long-term goals of operational excellence, cost control, and asset reliability.


The Maintenance Optimization Manager will lead the preventive maintenance (PM) program, with responsibilities spanning financial oversight, strategy development, and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Oversight:

Monitor and manage the preventive maintenance budget, including expense tracking, variance analysis, forecasting, and executive-level reporting.

Program Management:

Oversee preventive maintenance strategies by creating and updating Scopes of Work (SOWs), ensuring alignment with compliance requirements, warranty conditions, and cost efficiency goals.

Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

Develop and implement programs that maximize the value of PM spend while balancing ad hoc repair trends, evolving business needs, and proven cost-saving opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Partner with vendors, internal teams, and business leaders to coordinate scheduling, track performance, and ensure maintenance activities meet operational demands.

Reporting & Insights:

Deliver periodic and monthly reporting on PM performance, highlighting completion status, financial performance, and actionable insights.

Job Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field--or equivalent practical experience in maintenance/asset management. Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, Power BI, and statistical modeling. Proven ability to develop insights from data and translate them into actionable business strategies. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing and delivering insights to executive leadership. Experience in vendor management, facilities maintenance, or operational cost optimization is an asset.
