The Manager IT System Operations O365 is responsible for managing the daily operations and administration of Office 365 systems and infrastructure. They will manage a team of Office 365 Systems Engineers and ensure that the Office 365 environment is efficient, effective, and secure. Additionally, they will collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that the Office 365 environment is integrated with on-premises infrastructure and other cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, designing, and management of Office 365 infrastructure, including messaging applications, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Ensure the global Office 365 infrastructure is efficient, effective, and secure.
  • Ensure the integration of Office 365 applications with on-premises infrastructure and other cloud services.
  • Monitor system health and performance, and make recommendations for configuration improvements to optimize Office 365 usage.
  • Partner with leaders in other business units to define requirements and develop architecture for scalable and reliable Office 365 infrastructure to meet present and future business needs.
Office 365 Administration:
  • Ensure data integrity and security by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate Office 365 hardware and software solutions utilizing industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage Office 365 licenses, subscriptions, and users across the organization.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve any issues related to Office 365 services.
  • Deploy Office 365 software installations, configurations, and upgrades across a diverse customer base.
  • Conduct routine hardware and software audits of the Office 365 infrastructure to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
ITSM Incident, Request, and Change Management:
  • Manage and respond to Office 365 incidents and service requests using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with the ITSM team to prioritize and manage Office 365 changes to minimize business disruptions and ensure compliance with established change management policies.
  • Develop and maintain Office 365 incident, request, and change management processes and documentation.
  • Ensure timely resolution of Office 365 incidents and service requests to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and minimize impact on end-users.
  • Continuously improve incident, request, and change management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
People Management:
  • Manage and develop a team of Office 365 Systems Engineers.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the team to ensure that they meet established goals and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Encourage team members to continuously develop their skills and knowledge.
Office 365 Best Practices:
  • Develop and document standards and procedures for Office 365 administration and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, best practices, and configuration guidelines.
  • Implement changes to the Office 365 environment according to ITIL framework, independently to mission-critical functional areas while following established designs and configurations already developed.
Key Skills:
  • Understanding of Office 365 requirements and features.
  • Designing, developing, and testing Office 365 services and systems.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation for Office 365 administration.
  • Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
  • Working with others and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Office 365 best practices and governance.
  • Agile, DevSecOps tools & methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Takeda\xe2\x80\x99s Data, Digital, & Technology Landscape & Strategic Roadmap.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise, Solution, Platform, and Data Architecture Standards.
  • ITSM incident, request, and change management processes and tools.
  • People management and leadership skills.
