As an IT Finance Manager, you will lead financial operations that support the strategic and day-to-day management of the IT portfolio. This includes overseeing budgeting/forecasting, long-range capital planning, and reporting, while ensuring financial alignment across consulting contracts, software, and hardware assets. Collaborating closely with IT, Finance, and Procurement teams, you'll help drive financial transparency and operational efficiency.
HERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:Lead and manage IT Finance Operations including budgeting/forecasting, long-range capital planning, variance analysis, invoice processing, accruals, and reporting.
Lead the annual financial planning process for IT external resources, software licensing, and hardware procurement.
Support quarterly rolling forecasts, including CapEx/OpEx variance analysis, cash flow modeling, and depreciation/leasing updates.
Oversee financial alignment of consulting contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs) in collaboration with the IT Project Management Office and Procurement, while ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of software and hardware assets throughout their lifecycle.
Prepare and review monthly reports including software development work in progress, project capitalization, and software capitalization.
Provide financial analysis and guidance on consulting spend, labour variances, and departmental budget performance.
Approve invoices and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Migrate from legacy financial tracking systems to a new Technology Business Management and FinOps tool to support modernized costing and planning of the IT portfolio.
Act as a liaison between IT and Finance departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and responses to business inquiries.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, with at least 2 years in IT Finance or financial management within a technology environment.
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting/forecasting processes and long-range capital planning.
Advanced analytical skills, problem-identification, and resolution skills with attention to detail.
Experience with financial operations systems and tools (e.g. IBM Apptio).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
CPA designation or equivalent.
