Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for strategic technology planning, cost/benefit analysis, research, evaluation procurement and implementation of corporate and branch infrastructure
  • Oversee and administer more than 80 geographically dispersed locations and more than 800 users
  • Network administration; including local and remote routers, firewalls, cloud services, VPNs, etc.
  • Administration of Windows Server, active directory, group policies, DNS and domain management
  • Management of network security, monitoring, virus protection, web filtering and automated Windows and patch management
  • Cloud based solutions such as Amazon AWS and Google Apps
  • Responsible for building, maintaining and administering multiple servers including physical, virtual (VMware) and cloud based (EC2) instances of Windows Server
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions including backing up on-prem and to the cloud
  • Terminal Services and Remote Desktop (IE: RDP, VNC)
  • Management of corporate and retail ERP and POS software used for sales, inventory, customer management, etc...
  • Install and configure new server hardware and applications
  • Resolve problems reported by end users
  • Managing and mentoring IT staff (three direct reports)
Your Qualifications:
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Experience working in e-commerce Is considered an asset
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent training is considered an asset
  • The ability to lead and coach a team on SQL Server queries, stored procedures and views
  • Previous experience using POS and retail management software is considered an asset but is not necessary
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • An ability to stick to strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Friendly and energetic leader with a positive attitude
