Job Description

The Manager, Immigration Partnership Saskatoon is a leadership position responsible for all planning, promotion, implementation and evaluation of Immigration Partnership Saskatoon. This position facilitates the community-led approach in meeting the strategic goals of Immigration Partnership Saskatoon through engagement with a broad range of stakeholders and leaders across various sectors within the community.

This is a full-time position that is responsible for:

Strategy and Action Planning



Lead development and adoption of multi-year strategies and action plans endorsed and approved by IPS by:
o Engaging with and providing leadership to a broad range of stakeholders, community and government leaders and those with lived expertise.

o Facilitating meetings and gatherings to engage stakeholders in the work and leadership of IPS

o Drafting and revising planning documents

Meeting and reporting out on Outcomes and outputs to meet obligations of the IRCC agreement with IPS.

Governance and Partnership Engagement



Manage and coordinate all activities of the IPS Leadership Council, Immigrant Advisory table and working groups including minutes, agendas and membership lists and contact information Maintain active engagement of Leadership Council, Immigrant Advisory table and working groups

Research and Evaluation



Design, lead and compile research on:

Demographics and trends in the community The capacity of settlement and non-settlement service providers to support newcomers' settlement and integration needs Barriers to integration Summarize consultations and input from key stakeholders to the work and planning of IPS.

Outreach and External Engagement



Present, consult and share information on settlement and integration needs, trends, opportunities, strengths and best practices in partnership with a variety of stakeholders Represent IPS in the media Recruit and onboard IPS members and volunteers
Managing and Leading:

Manages project budget and prepares project reports Oversees financial aspects of the partnership as per policies, procedures and approval processes of United Way Saskatoon and Area Recruits and supervises contractors and consultants Manages all operations of IPS and ensures IPS meets all contractual targets as per IRCC contribution agreement
The successful candidate will have:

3- 5 years' experience related to the duties above acquired through either post-secondary education in social sciences, public administration, or related discipline with considerable experience in immigration and settlement initiatives including partnership development, stakeholder, and community engagement, research and policy. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience working in a nonprofit environment with different stakeholders Experience providing leadership to key stakeholders Knowledge of immigration experience, research, and policy Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiating, collaboration, conflict resolution and consensus building Previous project management and event management is an asset A team player with excellent customer service skills with the ability to develop positives relationships with stakeholders Demonstrated ability to explain and discuss Saskatoon's demographics Ability to articulate migration and settlement experiences of refugees and immigrants Ability to articulate the IRCC settlement program mandate and policies would be considered an asset
