Department Overview

TDS Data, Delivery & Innovation (DDI) is aligned with the TDS Delivery Accountability Framework rolled out across TDS earlier this year. This function enables efficient and effective program delivery of the dealer\'s major, cross functional initiatives. TDS DDI reflects a significant evolution of our approach to managing and delivering change in the dealer\'s largest cross functional initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of capital markets products and trade life cycle. Experience with Global Foreign Exchange products is an asset
  • Knowledge of trading systems, operational processes considered an asset including vendor products like Murex, Broadway, FX distribution systems
  • Prior experience with delivering major transformation and front-to-back programs
  • Provide thought leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team, to consistently maintain high levels of integrity, motivation and morale. This should encompass all aspects of people development including appropriate mentoring, coaching, and ongoing evaluation of staff performance and leadership skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts and obtain clarifications as necessary when discussing requirements and engaging with key stakeholder groups
  • Superior organizational skills (must be able to identify and track project dependencies & blockers, ensure proper resolution of outstanding items, document meeting minutes and takeaways in a clear and concise manner)
  • Established rapport with various stakeholders throughout the bank
  • Advanced Excel data manipulation skills (ability to derive findings/conclusions from large datasets and trouble-shoot errors)
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and manage time effectively
  • Flexibility to be able to adapt to unfamiliar, ambiguous or changing conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations for business decisions
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Prior experience in organizational change management activities

Job Details

The Manager II, Business Analysis will report to the Senior Manager and support the end-to-end delivery of the project\'s deliverables involving high complexity and many cross-functional and stakeholder dependencies.

Major Stakeholder accountabilities will include:
  • The candidate will be able to transform a high level vision and complex concepts into solutions with detailed requirements and efficient execution design. They will have demonstrated the necessary leadership skills to support the program with a proven ability to develop others, build relationships, communicate effectively at varying levels, and negotiate and influence to drive delivery.
  • Supporting Leadership/Management in managing a diverse range of stakeholders to meet program requirements and project objectives
  • Providing leadership to technology and business partners to turn requirements into delivery with analyses and recommendations for solutions that meet business objectives with in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Providing timely updates on project status, analyses and findings to senior management and various stakeholders
Major Business Operations accountabilities will include:
  • Conduct ongoing oversight and review to ensure effective implementation of deliverables and strategic infrastructure through requirement building and stream planning
  • Provide support to management by leading stakeholder management activities and communication through stream deliverables
  • Understand and manage cross-stream interdependencies
  • Assisting with tracking project tasks, dependencies, and requirement gaps (ensuring traction and resolution on all items) in addition to eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements
  • Identifying and escalating issues to the appropriate individual(s)/group(s) to ensure prompt attention/resolution
  • Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Ensure projects are delivered based on agreed scope, agreed timeline and approved budget
  • Ensuring all infrastructure build activities are supported by adequate documentation
  • Develop skills and experience to lead future large change initiatives
