Salary: $87,147.75 - $117,275.29

AGLC is looking for a collaborative, forward-thinking leader to shape how iGaming technology is certified, assured and enforced across Alberta.
As the Manager, iGaming ATF Oversight/Planning & Priorities, you'll guide a multidisciplinary team through complex, fast-moving work that protects players, supports an open, compliant market, and advances AGLC's mandate.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a high performing team by setting clear goals, ensuring accountability, and fostering an inclusive culture.
• Oversee certification programs (e.g., independent test labs) and ATF oversight, and lead iGaming compliance planning, assurance, and enforcement, including sport and event betting.
• Establish and enhance the quality management system (QMS) and regulatory programs; authorize compliance plans and QMS changes.
• Represent AGLC with industry and peer regulators to advance standards and address risk in the unregulated market.
• Lead risk-based planning and contribute to Enterprise Risk Management activities, including quarterly divisional risk updates.
• Use data and evidence to assess compliance effectiveness and continually improve program design and delivery.

What You Bring

• University degree in Law Enforcement, Security Management, Criminology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical background.
• 4+ years' experience in technology regulation, compliance, IT security, product testing, system analysis or gaming systems.
• 2+ years' experience leading technical or professional teams in complex, high-volume environments
• Experience supervising employees, providing performance feedback, managing workload distribution, and supporting employee development.
• Deep regulatory expertise and practical knowledge of risk-based regulatory approaches for iGaming or similarly regulated digital industries.
• Ability to implement, maintain, and audit an accredited QMS (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025), and assess technology used in gaming products (software, hardware, security, data, testing/QA).
• Assets include:

• Experience with iGaming compliance planning, assurance, enforcement and sport/event betting programs.
• Familiarity with gaming mathematics, game design, and equipment architecture.
• Experience collaborating with peer regulators (e.g. Ontario, UK, Malta, Nevada, New Jersey) and industry standards bodies (e.g., International Gaming Standards Association, Canadian Gaming Association, Canadian Association of Gaming Regulatory Agencies) to advance shared regulatory goals.
• Project management and process engineering experience including building cross-functional programs and optimizing workflows.
• Knowledge and experience with iGaming testing methodology.
• Superior attention to detail, excellent writing and verbal skills. The ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing technical issues is of paramount importance.
