MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES/LABOUR RELATIONS (Churchill Falls)

Location: Churchill Falls


Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Manager with exceptional people skills to lead the Human Resources and Labour Relations team at Churchill Falls.

You will lead the HR team in providing guidance and direction to management and staff at Churchill Falls on all matters related to people such as recruitment; people development; performance, employee engagement and conduct; and general labour/employee relations. You will develop and execute an annual work plan for Churchill Falls that supports our overall corporate strategy and initiatives in the area of people. As the Manager of HR/LR for this area, you will liaise and collaborate with other professional members of the HR team to ensure integrated program and policy development and service delivery. You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a keen ability to work collaboratively with others from all levels of the organization, including external stakeholders. You are able to build on our strong and positive union relations. You will lead effective grievance management for your area as well as support the collective bargaining processes. This role has accountability to manage a local HR budget, the training plan and associated budget for all of Churchill Falls. You have a positive mind-set, lots of energy and initiative, and you exercise sound judgment. You will also exercise the highest degree of confidentiality in this role.

You are a leader that observes and promotes the Corporation's Safety, Health and Environmental Programs.


Job Requirements:
You have an undergraduate degree in Business preferably with a major in Human Resources/Labour Relations; a Master's degree or CHRP designation is an asset. Ten years of progressively responsible experience in labour relations and human resources is required. A combination of education and experience displaying progressive leadership ability will also be considered.
