Robert Half has partnered with a dynamic and growing construction company based in Edmonton, Alberta, that is looking to add passionate and experienced HR Manager to lead their human resources function and support their people-first culture. The HR Manager will oversee the full cycle of human resources activities, with a strong emphasis on recruitment, employee relations, and HR compliance. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is passionate about building strong teams and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain strong employee relations programs to promote engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Manage performance management processes and support leadership in coaching and development.
  • Oversee HR compliance, including health & safety, employment standards, and workplace investigations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reports, including employee files, attendance, and training.
  • Support organizational development initiatives including succession planning and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.

Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • CHRP or CPHR designation is an asset.
