Position Title: Manager, Global Variety DevelopmentPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time \xe2\x80\x8bPosition Location: Florenceville MainRequisition ID: 30255The Manager, Global Variety Development will strategically lead and facilitate relationships with key external partners (potato variety breeders, universities, and institutes). This role is responsible for securing and developing new potato varieties to create a competitive advantage for McCain Foods, through global management and maintenance of variety product profiles matching present and future strategic demand. This position will work with global and regional teams to problem solve and effectively develop strategies that excel the movement and the growth of new potato varieties within the McCain network.The role will be responsible for variety agreements, variety introduction, variety customer approvals, leading a team to ensure the execution of new variety agreements and support reporting on new varieties, and producing insights based on the global variety database to facilitate strategic decision making within the regions . They will also ensure global information exchange through the database by establishing dashboards and other data analysis outputs as required.The Manager will also facilitate the process of commercializing new potato varieties, and will serve as an expert in potato variety and agronomy to our Regional Agriculture teams and other McCain functions.Qualifications:Academic:Must have:Bachelor of Science in AgricultureNice to have:Masters in Agriculture , Masters in Business Management, Master in Business StrategyProfessional/Technical Accreditations:Must have:P.Ag, experience in potato crop production + 5 years experience,Nice to have:Credential in Leadership, and Business Management, Certified Crop Advisor#LI-MCCAIN24McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
