about this department and team

The Brand Experience department is a core function of the Brand Marketing organization, with a sharp focus on elevating an inspired understanding of the brand and product stories that underpin and uniquely define lululemon across multiple platforms. Comprised of the core functions of Digital Brand Experience, Retail Brand Experience, Store Design and Event Experience, this team is redefining digital and physical brand experiences by providing strategic design for the online-to-offline journeys that serve our guests and drive sales.

The Event Experience team are creators of live experiences and brand activations that amplify our brand objectives and campaigns. The team builds the foundational \xe2\x80\x9cWhy\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cHow\xe2\x80\x9d lululemon hosts brand experiences across the world.

a day in the life: what you\'ll do

Reporting to the Director, Global Event Experience, this role will be responsible for leading a portfolio of global experiences, both in-person, digital, or hybrid. As the Manager, Global Event Experience you oversee a portfolio of events that power our brand and business objectives. You and your team will be responsible for creating integrated channel plans that consider how we bring our brand campaigns to life experientially.

Additionally, you will lead the strategy and oversee the planning and execution of various events and brand experiences. Your work will be instrumental in building a globally coordinated approach to how we create experiences that provide relevance to our guests and distinction for our brand. You will achieve this by fostering cross functional relationships while operating with a global mindset. Based on project specifics, you will also manage the full event life cycle from concept to execution and oversee the guest experience from start to finish ensuring that each guest touch point appropriately expresses the lululemon brand.

Responsibilities

  • People Leadership - Responsible for leading a team of direct reports and contractors with responsibilities including team meetings, performance reviews, day-to-day people leadership and ongoing coaching and development.
  • Portfolio Strategy - Responsible for managing the project strategy, approach, resource planning and roadmap for a portfolio of global events that support the long-term growth and evolution of the global event strategy.
  • KPIs/Objectives - Responsible for interpreting brand objectives to inform the development of global-to-regional campaign plans. You are accountable for setting and driving event KPI\'s as well as measuring, reporting and socializing results

  • Project Strategy - Accountable for event brief development, channel planning, cross-functional enrollment, ongoing project communication and budget management.
  • Cross-functional partners (internal/global) - Responsible for cross-functional collaboration that builds the foundational \xe2\x80\x9cWhy\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cHow\xe2\x80\x9d for lululemon to host events across the globe. Accountable for leading the entire cross-functional team resourced to the event, leadership reviews and stakeholder communication in creating and executing significantly global event experience moments.
  • Agency (external) - Accountable for partnering with best-in-class event agencies to create new ways to approach event experiences as well maintain operational standards, safety standards and create consistency with all internal cross-functional partners.
  • Guest Journey (innovation) - Responsible for creating, innovating and carving out a strategic guest journey that ensures the development of relevant, influential and net-new ways to approach event experiences and achieve event objectives.
  • Global Consultation - You consult on event experiences across all regions through developing integrated channel plans, sharing learnings and tested best practices.
  • Research - You have a deep understanding of consumer segments, trends, and insights in experiential brand marketing.
qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in event planning and production, marketing, public relations or relevant field
  • Experience working with agencies, ideally with multimillion dollar budgets
  • Skilled at partnering with creative teams and comfortable writing a creative brief
  • A track record of successfully delivering brand experiences from start to finish, on time and within budget
  • Proven project management and brand strategy experience
  • Strong digital and virtual experience acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Innovative and strategic thinker
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction, seeking coaching and guidance as needed
