Reporting into the Sr. Director, Front of Store Marketing & Promotions, you will be responsible for the planning, development and execution of integrated marketing programs for Convenience and Local Marketing. The Marketing Manager demonstrates the passion required to champion and lead a retail brand, programs and services. More than just a talented professional, the Marketing Manager is organized, creative and works well with cross category teams.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

Lead the Convenience marketing portfolio by supporting Front of Store Business priorities through effective customer focused marketing programs (i.e. paid media, sampling, direct mail, email, social, in-store signage and web) in partnership with category management and operations.

Oversee the planning, briefing and execution of marketing campaigns for: Valentine\xe2\x80\x99s, Easter, Back to School, Halloween and game releases.

Manage all marketing communication strategies for food at SDM including supporting Enhanced Fresh Food Stores. Work in partnership with key enterprise teams and vendors on food related marketing initiatives as required.

Support marketing requirements for adjacent businesses in conjunction with Category Management such as Shoppers Photo, Carlton Cards and Passport Services, Gift Cards, Presto, etc.

Develop creative briefs and collaborate with Creative, In-store, Digital, Media, Flyer and Translation teams, to ensure successful rollout of all plans

Work with Loblaw brand marketing teams to manage food corporate brand initiatives through Shoppers Drug Mart channels (PC, No Name and Carnaby)

Lead budget planning and execution for all Convenience and Grand Opening expenses

Support custom and templated local marketing requests from stores and operations

Oversee the strategic planning of all Grand Opening marketing plans (new, relocation, renovation, expansions, closures, hours are changing)

Support Marketing Specialists tasks and career growth and development

Additional special marketing projects as assigned

Understand and uphold brand guardrails

Drive innovation and exceed KPI\xe2\x80\x99s in all aspects of the portfolio

Manage the work necessary within our compliance framework

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need

Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in retail, consumer packaged goods or agency marketing

University Degree or College Diploma in Marketing or a related disciplines

A strong consumer-focused approach

Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to innovate and think outside of the box

A team player and a passion for collaboration

Experience leading people and teams

Willingness to learn and to continually adapt

A strong presenter and solid written communication and interpersonal skills

A strong work ethic and a high degree of organizational commitment Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Experience managing execution of multiple projects, timelines and budgets simultaneously

Working with and gaining alignment from multiple internal and external stakeholders

Developing and managing budgets
