Salary: The salary range for this position is CAD $45.46/Hr. - CAD $65.35/Hr.

The Manager, Foundry Works Program reports to the Leader, Program Implementation, is responsible for program management and oversight of the operations of Foundry Works projects and initiatives at local Foundry sites across the Province. Foundry Works is a supported employment and education program for youth who are interested in working, going to school, or completing a training program. This program utilizes the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model in the delivery of services. The Manager:provides oversight of program activities and program planning; tracks program goals, objectives to ensure program deliverables meet expected deadlines and service requirements; supports leadership and skill development of staff through provision of education and training, expertise and navigation of available resources; develops, implements and reviews of policies and procedures and funding proposals and partakes in program evaluation; manages stakeholder relationships and supports centres in building employer referral networks for youth employment opportunities; prepares progress reports and updates to funding agencies and Foundry Central leadership.

What You Bring:

Education:

Graduation from a recognized Degree program in a Health Care or Social Sciences field plus five (5) recent, relevant experience in program management preferably within a health care or community social services environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Recent experience in youth and young adult mental health in community and/or hospital settings. Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes.

Skills and Abilities:

Comprehensive knowledge of program management principles and methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of youth and young adult mental health and substance use Demonstrated knowledge of youth and family development, risk and protective factors for health development, promotion, prevention and early intervention approaches. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and promote collaboration and change management, and work both independently and within a team environment Ability to utilize initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion. Demonstrated ability to lead, teach and instruct others. Effective communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment. Effective facilitation, persuasion and negotiation skills to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes. Effective conflict resolution and conflict management skills. Ability to work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner. Functional knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database applications. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Your Day to Day:

Provides high-level oversight, monitoring and project management for a variety of Foundry Works initiatives at local Foundry centres across the Province. Provides day-to-day operational support to Centre staff including onboarding of staff, provision of education and training to staff, coaching and mentoring staff, orientating of staff to available Foundry resources and information portals. Addresses other Centre needs as required and communicates them to Foundry Central leadership. Provides expertise to Centre staff in sourcing opportunities for youth employment and education, preparing youth for job searches, building referral networks, and supporting youth placement and retention. Supports centre leaders in dealing with participant complaints, sensitive conversations, or issues regarding youth employment placements. Working with Leader, assists with the development, implementation, and review of program policies, procedure and guidelines. Invites feedback from participants and staff and incorporates into program planning and review. Identifies service gaps and works with Leader and Centre staff to implement initiatives to address those gaps. Works collaboratively within a team environment and interacts directly and independently with all relevant groups (internal and external) to ensure that all facets of projects assigned are managed appropriately. Develops work plans, tracks progress to targets/goals, and provides status updates and progress reports to internal and external stakeholders (as required). Responds to information requests and coordinates communication of responses with various areas within the Foundry, health authorities and other stakeholders. Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of measurable quality improvement indicators and objectives. Promotes and applies research towards continuous improvement of services. Liaises with Foundry research staff and facilities and supports research activities associated with the program. Establishes positive working relationships and partnerships with a diverse set of stakeholders including employers, funders, government agencies, and community partners to ensure successful outcomes and cooperation from others. Represents the Foundry on community or advisory boards when appropriate Prepares reports, business cases, funding applications and maintains statistical records regarding program activities. Ensures optimal utilization of available resources such as equipment across projects as appropriate. Performs other related duties as required.
