Willow Square, Continuing Care has an opportunity for Manager, Continuing Care. Reporting to the Area Manager, Seniors Health this opportunity is an excellent chance for you to showcase your leadership skills and your commitment to patient family centered care. This role is integral to our long-term care facility and provides the successful candidate the autonomy to manage a team using their own leadership style. Under your direction, you will lead the team and provide consistent guidance and direction, as well as your thoughts and ideas on how to improve processes. We are looking for someone with seniors\' health or long-term care experience to re-align the emphasis on delivering patient and family-centered care. The ideal candidate is driven, a problem-solver, excited to offer new ideas, and willing to work collaboratively with the team and stakeholders on how to advance our long-term care services. The candidate will work at Alberta Health Services\' new Fort McMurray Continuing Care Centre (Willow Square) and be instrumental in supporting the transition and expansion of service. Located within Fort McMurray which resides on Treaty 8 territory, the largest treaty by area in the history of Canada. Respecting the historical impacts of colonization, acknowledging traditional Indigenous beliefs and cultures and the diversity of many beliefs among Indigenous peoples, this position works towards the support of Indigenous peoples on these lands. Creating a safe space for all individuals. Fort McMurray is a family-oriented, friendly, city 442 kilometers northeast of Edmonton. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

The incumbent of this position will have a strong emphasis on service delivery, enhance workflow, and successfully lead our Long-term Care department. You will possess demonstrated skills in decision-making, coaching, mentoring, teaching, and the ability to motivate, inspire and build confidence in others. You will bring a passion for resident and family-centered care, advocating for residents while working to meet their needs or their family\'s needs. You will be responsible and accountable for direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the Long-Term Care facility, as well as supporting the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development, teamwork, and coordinating staffing and clinical work.
