Our Toronto office is looking for a

Manager, Forensics Disputes and Investigations

to join the Advisory team and own the following responsibilities:


Responsible for managing projects and monitoring the quality of work performed on forensic accounting engagements, including fraud/financial investigations, quantification of insurance claims, and economic loss quantification arising in a litigation context Effectively lead the planning and execution of Forensic Disputes and Investigative projects, including collecting/processing evidence, compiling financial data, performing analysis and preparing formal reports Correspondence with clients, lawyers, insurance adjusters/brokers to discuss file issues and present our findings Develop and maintain client relationships at the highest level, including accountability for operational aspects of client engagement Attend client sites to perform work (when and where required) Play an integral role in our talent development priority through coaching, mentoring and training junior staff; preparing and delivering internal technical training programs; strategically assigning work opportunities; conducting project/team performance reviews and providing continuous feedback on individual performance Actively participate and lead initiatives in business development activities within the global BDO network and externally in the marketplace.

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge



Minimum 4+ years of experience in forensic accounting, in particular demonstrated expertise in completing, leading and/or managing commercial insurance loss quantification assignments CPA designation required. Specialty designation (i.e. CIP, CBV, CFE, CFF, CFI, CAMS) would be an asset Strong analytical, accounting and auditing skills Experience in fraud, anti-money laundering, bribery and corruption advisory and investigation assignments Strong knowledge of economic loss quantification concepts and methodologies , including in insurance contexts Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills, self-driven and highly motivated to be a leader The ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally will also be expected in this role, if the need arises
