Your New Role

Reporting to the Director of Finance; overseeing one direct report, the Manager of FP&A will work in collaboration with all departments within the organization. The Manager of FP&A will be active in the following primary responsibilities both in an individual and senior management team setting:

  • Oversee the preparation of internal management reporting, including analysis of asset and fund level financial results and presenting to the Leadership team
  • Oversee the preparation, analysis, and review of quarterly external investor reporting packages, as well as materials for the Advisory Board \xe2\x80\x93 working closely with the Investor Relations team
  • Develop and oversee financial models and analysis to support key decision making, strategic initiatives of the company
  • Oversee cash forecasting, integrating trends, forward-looking knowledge of company operations and collaborating with other departments to ensure the forecast is accurate and complete
  • Lead the annual Fund and Joint Venture budget process and liaise with all departments to deliver the annual plan including analysis and presentation to the Leadership team
  • Oversee the preparation of the capital calls and distribution process for the Fund and Joint Venture projects
  • Oversee the compliance with the terms of Fund and Joint Venture agreements
  • Oversee debt compliance and lender reporting
  • Drive continuous improvements and automations in processes and reporting, proactively identifying opportunities for enhancements
  • Key member of system implementation and process automation initiatives
  • Coach and mentor team members to strengthen their functional skills, industry knowledge, and overall collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis, as required
What Sets You Apart

Applicants for this position will be self-motivated individuals with a high degree of initiative and will possess strong interpersonal skills, be attentive to detail, and able to build trusting relationships. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a proven leader who will develop the next generation of talent and drive accountability across the department while working collaboratively various teams. You will be a self-learner and self-starter, able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. You will possess strong attention to detail but be able to identify high level trends and connect information.
  • CPA or CFA designations are strongly preferred
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a related role within the financial services and/or accounting, with a minimum of 2+ years within the FP&A function required
  • 2+ years\xe2\x80\x99 Manager level experience required, managing and leading successful teams
  • Experience working in the real estate sector is an asset
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and ability to foster effective working relationships internally across the organization and externally
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box to analyze and summarize large amounts of data in order to provide context and recommendations where required
  • Ability to create, update, and manage large complex financial models
  • Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and in particular, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams.
  • Knowledge of Yardi 7s is an asset
