As the Manager of Corporate Accounting, you will play a central role in managing ongoing planning, colleague management, analytics for our corporate operation, approval of balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly reporting, and journal entries. We are looking for candidates with experience leading people, implementing process/system improvement and can form solid relationships across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting the Manager will support the processes in the department and lead special projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has a real passion for accounting and LEAN processes, is a highly analytical problem solver that is curious and can form solid relationships across the organization.

What you will do

  • Lead the colleagues to the highest standards of performance through hiring, goal setting, coaching, performance reviews and positive role-modeling
  • Build relationships with various groups across the organization and provide financial reporting and analysis support
  • Manage competing priorities, and support Continuous Improvement and overall optimization of the team all within a fast-paced environment
  • Support and review the financial processes and controls including period-end, audit support, reporting, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, various journal entries and analysis
  • Good business insights with ability to review reconciliation, reporting and journal entry processes and thereafter make sound recommendations
  • Provide decision support to identify issues, opportunities, and emerging trends
  • Assist with training of internal customers
What you bring
  • University or College degree in Accounting / Finance or working towards Professional accounting designation
  • Minimum of 5 years business experience within a Finance environment
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically with Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge/experience with SAP would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and present information in a clear, concise \xe2\x80\x9cclient ready\xe2\x80\x9d format
  • Effectively communicate ideas and actions with confidence & clarity
  • Successfully manages timelines to ensure delivery of team objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments and build strong working relationships
  • Enthusiastic learner with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced changing work environment
  • Proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects simultaneously to strict deadlines
  • Adapt positively to a fast paced, ambitious, and continually evolving landscape
