MANAGER, FINANCE

: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Under the direction of the Director, Finance and IT, the Manager, Finance will play a key role in ensuring an effective finance and accounting function for CMHA Ottawa. The Manager, Finance will be responsible for overseeing components of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and audit preparation. The Manager, Finance will oversee payroll and ensure the integrity of accounting data and the delivery of financial information in a timely and accurate basis. The role also ensures strong internal controls, financial risk management, and adherence to relevant legislation, accounting standards, and non-profit best practices.

Essential Minimum Qualifications

:

Education

: Completion of a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.

Experience

: A minimum of five (5) years' experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit or public sector. A minimum of two (2) years' experience managing a team / department.

Certification:

CPA designation required.

Language

: English essential, bilingual (French and English) an asset.

Vehicle:

This is an in-office role, and the incumbent must have a reliable means of transportation to attend work in person.
