Reporting to the Finance Continuous Improvement (CI) Director, the Finance CI Manager is a strategic advisor, leader, and change catalyst who will play a pivotal role in transforming Finance and business processes across the value chain. The Manager is expected to maximize business value creation and sustained change through the successful delivery of various cross-functional projects and programs. The CI Manager leads project teams and collaborates with colleagues from entry level to senior management in Finance, IT, and various departments across the organization. The objective is to be a business partner, a solution expert in dedicated areas, a connector between teams and an orchestrator to deliver outcomes. This is a high-performing, passionate, team committed to excellence.
  • Lead large-scale cross-functional programs, projects, and project streams with a focus on digital transformation. Be responsible for the people, process and system readiness and sustained change
  • Define the project strategy, structured approach, and framework (objectives, deliverables, team RACI, scope, key success factors, risks, etc.)
  • Build and maintain an effective project plan. Adapt it with agility when new risks or opportunities arise
  • Co-define business requirements and co-develop practical solutions that best address business needs by leading various activities for information and feedback gathering (data analysis, research, workshops, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
  • Build and execute an effective change management strategy
  • Prepare all deliverables for executives and the impacted parties of the change (ex. new policy, user guide) and for project documentation purposes (ex. log of decision rationale).
  • Own all activities across the project\xe2\x80\x99s life cycle: planning, as-is analysis, target state design, gap and impact analysis, testing, training, communication, documentation, deployment, post go-live support & monitoring, etc.
  • Ensure a strong project governance, stellar internal client service and high stakeholder engagement
  • Manage the project team, notably by organizing work for optimal efficiency \xe2\x80\x93 time is our commodity!
  • Identify risks to mitigate and opportunities to cease, including interdependencies with other projects within the CI portfolio and beyond
  • Perform root cause diagnostics and solution assessments for identified improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and present executive-ready, data-driven, and high business value recommendations to leadership
  • Proactively identify and recommend new high-impact improvement ideas to the Finance CI Director
  • Coach and empower your CI colleagues to continuously grow the team\xe2\x80\x99s skillset, expertise, organizational knowledge, and autonomy.
  • Build strong business relationships of trust with AIM leaders from delivering results and embodying passion, agility, and a deep understanding of the business
  • Be responsible for 5 to 8 initiatives simultaneously with different topics, teams, and timelines
  • Manage the service-offering, portfolio of projects, incoming new business needs, and staffing for your respective areas
  • Invest in learning the business and become a solution expert in your respective areas

Qualifications
  • A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration (finance, accounting, commerce or other)
  • CPA or MBA is an asset
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working for a management consulting firm and/or delivering transformational projects within an organization
  • Minimum of 3 years managing project teams and direct reports
  • Accounting and Finance knowledge
  • Experience in leading transformative projects / project streams in/for large organizations
  • Experience in preparing executive-ready deliverables in/for large organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Stellar work ethic and ownership of work. High standards of excellence and result-driven
  • Intrapreneurial spirit, self-driven and passionate about transforming organizations
  • Exceptional business sense and ability to relate Finance to the business
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with various types of stakeholders, incl. senior management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
  • A structured mindset and strong organizational skills
  • Fast learner and coachable
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is a must
