Position Overview:
In this position, the Manager, Finance (Merchandising Finance), will be expected to provide total financial leadership, direction and analysis for their respective business units. The Manager, Finance (Merchandising Finance), is the CFO in all regards for the following finance functions: merchandising analysis, private brands, rebate/coop, and marketing analytics.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead merchandising financial planning, forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinating, participating and financial tracking of all vendor rebate/coop
  • Influence all marketing and promotional activity to optimize return on marketing spend, as well as sales, gross margin & inventory performance.
  • Private Brands financial management, analysis and optimization.
  • Manage development, implementation and training of Finance IT tools.
  • Competitive analysis and insight.
  • Provide analysis to support decision making and risk/opportunity identification
  • Develop ad-hoc projects, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead and develop a team of financial analysts
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the reporting systems.
  • A change agent who has the ability to influence and get people on side.
  • Make sound and timely decisions in a fast pace environment.

  • Requires sitting at a workstation for the majority of the day, with minimal standing.

Working Conditions:
  • Working in an office setting: computer work, camera on virtual meetings, taking support calls
Minimum Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree or Equivalent Work Experience
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
  • 4 to 8 years
Minimum Leadership Experience:
  • NA
Certifications:
  • CPA is an asset.
Other Requirements/Assets:
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business.
  • Retail experience an asset.
The pay range for this position is between $73,400.00 - $85,700.00
