POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Manager of Family Well-Being oversees and manages all aspects of the FWB Department, including the implementation of community program delivery, culturally safe spaces and individualized supports for Inuit, funder reports, and budget management. The incumbent will act as the key liaison to program funders and assist in the development of future proposal concepts that support the Inuit community in Ottawa.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow the FWB program model of wrap-around support and oversee all program activities ensuring effective, cohesive and quality delivery
Provide leadership and supervision of direct reports
Oversee the implementation of program plans
Model and support a trauma-informed and strength-based approach
Regularly engage with community about the program to understand evolving assets, needs and priorities to inform ongoing program delivery
Provide program progress reports to funders are required, as well as back to the community that meaningfully communicates the program's effectiveness in impacting community successes
Facilitate regular case management meetings
Oversee and coordinate financial administration (all detailed program expenditures) and financial/program reporting for the program
Oversee the ongoing development of training for project staff
Liaise with local CAS and support IC staff to advocate for culturally safe service
Assist staff supporting the delivery of programming to Inuit medical travelers
Support staff liaising with local group homes and medical foster care to engage Nunavut children and youth
Ensure that a variety of outreach strategies are implemented
Provide leadership and support to staff responding to crisis situations impacting the Inuit community
Represent Inuuqatigiit Centre and Inuit on local, provincial and national committees
Advocate for needs of urban Inuit
Ensure cultural safety and safe space are maintained at all times
Oversee monthly case management meetings with CASO
Oversee implementation of evaluation plans
Organize and lead client case conferences where specific challenges are faced in matching client needs and services;
Develop and monitor projects/program budget and work closely with Director of Community Programs and Chief Financial Officer

Physical ability to lift more than 5 lbs, occasional bending and twisting
Physical ability to access three story building.
Work regular and consistent weekly hours of work.
Will be required to work additional hours for specific programming aspects and after hours support e.g. weekends and evenings
Additional hours on occasion to meet deadlines and ensure delivery of high-quality programs and services
Some travel to meetings may be required
Ensure personal safety precautions are observed at all times according to IC health and safety procedures
Knowledge of Inuit culture and community
Guide the integration of Inuit culture IQ Principles and language in all aspects of programming.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Fluency in Inuktitut is a strong asset
Knowledge of issues pertaining to Inuit culture and historical impacts, and ability to transfer that knowledge in a meaningful manner

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in related field or an acceptable equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience in senior project/program management
Experience in community planning, outreach, program delivery and quality assurance
Experience in effectively managing human and financial resources
Experience providing intensive supports to parents
Previous experience working with Inuit or Aboriginal communities an asset.
