As Manager, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Data Governance, you're responsible for building, developing and leading the team responsible for ESG data governance and overseeing the organization's ESG data governance initiatives. You play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality, transparency, consistency and use of ESG data to support Desjardins-wide ESG goals while managing climate risk and ensuring and regulatory compliance. More specifically, you will be required to:
Develop and implement ESG data governance strategies. This involves developing policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of ESG data by adapting Desjardins Group's data governance frameworks for ESG.
Work with internal teams to supervise and optimize the collection, classification, documentation and analysis of internal and external ESG data.
Work with other business sectors and support functions to identify quality issues, set priorities and plan and carry out enhancement initiatives.
Ensure that ESG data management practices comply with standards and regulations.
Promote transparency and communication with various stakeholders by developing ESG governance and data management performance tools and indicators.
Work closely with IT teams to integrate ESG data into the company's IT systems and models.
Analyze market trends and best practices to propose and develop improvement initiatives, including using AI to improve ESG data quality.
Promote the importance of ESG data governance, raise awareness and provide training in the data and analytics ecosystem, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
