This role is highly cross-functional and essential in embedding EDI across all levels of the organization and meeting our diversity and inclusion duties, aims, and objectives.   • Partner to implement a global strategy for equity, diversity, and inclusion that aligns with the company\'s values, mission, and business goals.
  • Research, develop, recommend, and drive creative, best in class EDI solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to integrate EDI into all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Facilitate training and workshops to educate employees on the importance of diversity and inclusion.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on key metrics related to the equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on diversity and inclusion, providing guidance and consultation to senior leadership, management, and employees.
  • Lead the company\'s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), fostering an environment where everyone feels they belong.
  • Partner and drive IDLC activities and effectiveness
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to champion diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of legislation, regulations, reporting, and best practices related to EDI.
  • Review company policies to ensure compliance and promote best practices.
  • Develop internal communications that would increase employee engagement and transparency regarding EDI initiatives.
  • Work closely with external partners, assistants, vendors, and other stakeholders to optimize partnership.
QualificationsMajor accountabilities:

Specialized business and domain knowledge:
  • Diversity & Inclusion Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, strategies, and practices. This includes awareness of global cultural differences and understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Human Resources Expertise: Familiarity with HR processes such as recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, and training and development. Knowledge of best practices in integrating diversity and inclusion into these processes is essential.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company\'s mission and objectives. This includes setting goals, planning initiatives, and measuring results.
  • Project Management: Skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with different stakeholders, and ensuring timely and successful completion of projects.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to track diversity metrics, measure the effectiveness of initiatives, and inform decision-making.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of people, facilitating training sessions, and presenting reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in leading teams, managing employee resource groups, and influencing at all levels of the organization.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Awareness of relevant employment legislation and regulations related to diversity and inclusion.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Skills in managing change and driving cultural transformation in the organization.
Problem solving requirements:
  • Standardized Problems: The Global Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager will often encounter standardized problems such as resistance to change, lack of awareness about diversity and inclusion, or dealing with biases. These problems require the manager to utilize established policies and guidelines, along with their expertise, to address and resolve these issues. For example, the manager might conduct training and awareness sessions to combat these issues.
  • Varied Problems: These may include dealing with unique cultural nuances in different geographical locations, addressing specific issues faced by minority groups, or handling unique employee grievances related to equity and inclusion. The manager will need to use their judgement and creativity to devise appropriate solutions. For instance, they might need to tailor their diversity and inclusion strategies to suit the cultural context of different office locations.
  • Complex Problems: The manager will face complex problems such as devising a global strategy for diversity and inclusion, integrating these practices into all aspects of the organization, or dealing with deeply ingrained biases. These problems often involve multiple factors and require a deep understanding of the issue, strategic thinking, and careful planning. For instance, creating a global diversity and inclusion strategy might involve understanding the legal and cultural contexts of each location, identifying common and unique issues, and developing a comprehensive plan that addresses all these factors. 4. Interdependent Problems: The manager will often encounter situations where problems are interlinked and solutions for one might impact others. For example, implementing a diversity hiring strategy might affect other HR processes like performance evaluation, succession planning, or employee development. The manager will need to consider all these factors and ensure that the solutions implemented are holistic and do not negatively impact other areas.
Education and experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law or a related field. A master\'s degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years\' experience of operationalizing inclusion and diversity strategies and best practices. - Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficient in data analysis to track and improve diversity metrics.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with an ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience operating in a global environment with understanding of diverse regulatory Jurisdictions
  • Self-motivated and successful in operating independently with limited oversight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Tableau
