Purpose
Leads and contributes to the overall success of Global Brand & Customer Insights employee voice research activities across the Scotiabank Group of Companies on Canadian and international mandates ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team\'s business strategies and objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Working with the Senior Manager, provides support for the Employee Engagement COE.
  • Support the content creation and effective delivery of several programs to support Employee Listening Program.
  • Ensures effective alignment of goals, key deliverables and supports the program management of large employee engagement and voice projects.
  • Participates in strategic business plan development and ongoing business meetings / decisions with Global HR partners and key business line leaders. Identifies the right strategy and solutions to meet business objectives, provide strategic direction for the business.
  • Provides strategic insights and solutions to leaders on Talent (Employee) priorities and needs. Delivers input and feedback on program / policy design to the Directors across Global HR and provides recommendations on program execution.
  • Supports data analysis, report requirements to identify themes and trends.
- Leveraging data, prepares written analysis and creates insightful reports with recommendations, with support as required.
- Synthesizes insights from a variety of sources to clearly communicate cohesive and impactful stories.

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Education / Experience / Other Information
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience in employee engagement; data analysis; market research.
  • Possess excellent communication skills combined with effective relationship-building ability.
  • Strong ability to effectively perform in a complex, high change environment while being a positive steward for stakeholders across the Bank.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and priorities.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality work within strict timelines.
  • Results-oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills to support execution of complex communications strategies.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Suite; and desired experience SPSS, Business Intelligence, Qualtrics, Pega.
  • Fluency in Spanish highly desirable.
Education
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with focus on business and human resources or work-related experience.
  • CHRP, CHRL or other HR designation, or in progress is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
  • Limited travel
