JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
At SOAR Community Services, we are committed to empowering individuals and families through a comprehensive continuum of social housing support. Whether someone is seeking emergency accommodations or striving to maintain stable housing, our programs are designed to meet people where they are and help them move forward.
Our Emergency Housing Intake Services and Housing Resource Centre serve as vital entry points for those navigating housing instability. These programs provide compassionate, client-centered support, connecting people to emergency accommodations, long-term housing options, and the tools they need to overcome barriers to stability.
As the Manager of Housing, you will:
Supervise staff, including recruiting and performance management
Provide ongoing oversight across programs and provide supervision as required
Develop and evaluate program activities
Lead collaborative service delivery efforts
Oversee case management functions
Implement marketing strategies
Conduct audits to maintain accuracy and integrity of client files, identify data quality issues and contribute to Ministry reporting
Ensure health and safety standards are met to ensure safe operation of the facility
Provide input and monitor adherence to program budget
Develops and maintains professional working relationships with community organizations and other agencies by sharing information and resolving problems with groups.
Position Details
Hours: 37.5 hours/week | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-4:30 PM with flexibility to meet program needs

Requirements and Qualifications
College diploma in related Social/Human Sciences
Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in a related field
Current and demonstrated knowledge in working in bed-based environments, homelessness, substance use and mental health.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with databases
Accessibility to reliable transportation
Mediation, conflict resolution, leadership skills
Ability to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
Please also note that the successful candidate will be required to provide a police vulnerable sector check as a condition of employment; however, strong consideration is made to the type of offense
