Viterra is seeking a Manager, Customer Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and operating a high volume grain handling facility, and conducting business on-farm within the market area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the movement of grain with customers and market area staff.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customers.
- Supervise, train, and conduct performance and development reviews with facility staff.
- Meeting or exceed facility housekeeping and maintenance performance standards, and ensuring that a regular preventative maintenance program is fulfilled.
- Ensure continuous improvement in the areas of employee health & safety and operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Personable and willing to work with diverse and challenging customers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Proven experience in customer service or sales capacity.
- Basic understanding of the Canadian Grain Industry.
Education and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agriculture or other sales related customer service functions.
- Successful completion of an Agri-Business Certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education.
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
