Our expectations

Reporting to the Merchandising Transformation Lead, the Manager, Cost Management is responsible for developing and facilitating execution of best practice tools and approaches to enable the Merchandising team to optimize product cost and realize category performance goals. The Manager uses merchandising experience, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills to act as an internal consultant to the merchants in sourcing events and day-to-day cost management.

Your role

Lead the product cost planning and support execution as part of the Product Line Reviews. Advise on the best approach to sourcing based on the assortment strategy and support the merchants to execute the selected approach
Partner with the merchants to identify target product costs and support negotiations with suppliers as part of annual planning processes (e.g., Product Line Review) or day-to-day negotiations (e.g., product cost increase proposals)
Lead execution of product bids (RFQs), including creating scope documents, supporting vendor communications and managing the project plan
Analyze cost proposals and make recommendations
Define and manage standard sourcing processes, including the RFQ process
Maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders

The qualifications we are looking for

Bachelor\'s degree in business administration or finance, or equivalent
Merchandising or procurement experience
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and building relationships
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in ambiguity
Strong proficiency in Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint
Strong communication and organization skills
Experience in negotiation (preferred)
