Plannera Pensions & Benefits (Plannera), formerly known as the Public Employees' Benefits Agency, is on the lookout for talented individuals to become part of our dynamic team of 150 employees. Headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan, Plannera oversees $16 billion in assets across 11 pension plans and 16 benefits programs in the province. As a not-for-profit corporation, we take pride in administering two of Canada's top 100 pension plans--the Public Employees Pension Plan (PEPP), the country's largest defined contribution plan, and the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP). We serve over 900 employers and more than 105,000 plan members, everyone from small-town firefighters to crown corporation executives.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Controller and Director, Corporate Finance, this role offers the chance to lead, innovate, and make a meaningful impact in managing risk within the organization

.

As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for:

Leading Plannera's Risk Management Program, which includes an enterprise and operational risk management plans; Leading Plannera's Business Continuity Risk Management Program; Leading Plannera's insurance program; Supporting the organization's procurement activities including management of corporate contracts; and Supporting the organization's privacy risk management.

Ideal Candidate

You will be:

Collaborative and people-centered and able to build strong partnerships across the organization; An approachable and effective communicator skilled at guiding senior leadership through risk management; A leader who will influence, advise, and engage with all levels of the organization; Solutions-oriented with the ability to balance risk identification with practical recommendations; Analytical and a critical thinker who is able to interpret complex information and provide clear insights; and A supervisor with the ability to mentor and oversee one direct report.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through a combination of:

Risk Management designation or equivalent certification. 3-5 years experience in the field of risk management. 3-5 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
