Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of consulting services such as operations transformation, strategic planning, business planning, feasibility studies, process improvement, performance improvement, organizational effectiveness and analytical studies
  • Responsible for managing performance improvement projects in manufacturing, construction and F&B processing
  • Plan, conduct and provide leadership in data collection through primary, secondary, comparative and best practice research, including interviews, focus groups, facilitated workshops, surveys, review of client data, direct observation, published reports, internet research and direct contacts
  • Accountable for managing project budget, scope and schedule
  • Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas and project metrics
  • Think strategically about client needs by quickly gaining an understanding of their business, their organization, operating environment and key risks
  • Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value
  • Maintain high quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies, where applicable
  • Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly
  • Promote MNP advisory services through the delivery of presentations, writing articles, facilitating workshops or participating in community activities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP\xe2\x80\x99s services, businesses and industry
  • Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functions
  • Network in the local business community and consider business development opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and addressing performance issues promptly
  • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness
  • Conduct formal, written annual performance reviews
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
  • Completion of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, technology, engineering or another related field
  • Completion of a master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business is considered an asset
  • 6 to 9 years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Completion of a Certified Management Consultant Certification is an asset
  • Strong operations and manufacturing background
  • Experience in project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership
  • Experience in business and practice development
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some travel may be required
