Join the momentum. We are seeking a Manager for our growing Indigenous Services team. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous Nations, businesses and entrepreneurs in Canada. With more than 250 Indigenous clients and 300 team members dedicated to this sector, no other firm has invested as much time and resources into serving the unique needs of Indigenous communities.

Performance Expectations

  • Lead delivery of consulting services such as infrastructure planning and development, capital project management and contract administration, financial modelling, strategic and operational planning, design of organizational governance and operational models and structures, stakeholder engagement strategies and facilitation and other forms of management consulting
  • Identify and lead the response of competitive business opportunities, developing the service delivery approach, effort estimate and pricing options for review
  • Discuss project priorities and challenges with clients and develop integrated and comprehensive project workplans and schedules
  • Perform complex and detailed research, interpretation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data for the purpose of delivering high-quality client service
  • Design, develop, format, and proof-read professional reports, proposals, presentations, and correspondence with practical recommendations for value conclusions
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
  • Forecast monthly cash flows and revenue, complete monthly project and financial reporting and client invoicing
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relations with all members of the project delivery team and operations team
  • Meet and exceed MNP\xe2\x80\x99s client acceptance and engagement delivery quality and risk management policies and processes
  • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes while effectively using MNP internal programs and systems
Credentials
  • Completion of a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or similar) in business administration, planning, civil or building engineering technology, environmental studies or other related fields
  • Completion of a certification in project management or contract administration would be considered an asset
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of business, planning or related consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment
  • Professional or personal experience working with First Nations and other indigenous organizations and businesses
  • Knowledge and understanding of the diverse Indigenous community including relevant legislation, government structures, programs, rights and current issues
  • Experience in business development in a consulting context is considered an asset
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some travel for project delivery is required
