Job Title Manager, Climate Communications - 18 Month Contract



What will you do?

Support the execution of internal & external communications plans and provide communications counsel and analysis ensuring communications align with enterprise strategies and objectives.

Support the Senior Director, Climate Communications & Integrated Marketing - ESG with internal and external engagement initiatives related to Climate, ESG, Indigenous and thought leadership.

Enhance and protect RBC\xe2\x80\x99s reputation through effective communications and storytelling focused on climate change and thought leadership

Collaborate closely with colleagues in Corporate Communications & Brand Marketing to ensure the right stories are being shared with the right audiences.

Support the coordination and communication with key internal partners on ESG and climate related matters to foster a culture of collaboration.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

3+ years of communications, PR or public affairs experience.

Strong external and internal communications, social media, design and/or media relations experience

Excellent writer, editor, speaker and content creator with the ability to craft a compelling story for a variety of audiences/channels.

Ability to prioritize among competing requests in a fast-paced environment; embrace change; and demonstrate diplomacy, professionalism and a positive attitude.

Ability to confidently provide strategic guidance to senior leaders and possess the ability to educate and influence others on communications best practices.

Nice-to-have

Undergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field.

Digital and social media savvy, with a strong grasp on the evolving digital media landscape

Ability to meet consistently high standards of quality while handling a variety of projects and deadlines simultaneously

Job Summary The Manager, Climate Communications will be responsible for helping enhance and protect RBC\xe2\x80\x99s reputation and articulate the bank\xe2\x80\x99s climate ambitions through integrated external communications, marketing and employee communications efforts.

In this role, you will support business objectives and strategies through the execution of strategic multi-stakeholder communications related to the bank\xe2\x80\x99s climate strategy and thought leadership.
