Project Delivery & Controls

Oversee end-to-end delivery: scope definition and control, work packages, estimates, risk registers, schedules, resources, and change management (MOC). Lead the MC ? pre-commissioning ? dry/wet commissioning ? handover lifecycle, including deficiency (master punch) management and transfer of care, custody, and control. Establish performance reporting (cost, schedule, productivity, earned value) and ensure timely client-facing updates and internal dashboards.

People Leadership & Resource Management

Build and lead a high-performing CCX team: hiring, onboarding, coaching, career pathways, and utilization (productive vs. NPT management). Set clear goals and conduct performance reviews; mentor supervisors/foremen and discipline leads to elevate field execution standards.

Business & Financial Management

Own operational budgets and contribute to CCX P&L: order intake, revenue, and margin forecasting; drive productivity and cost control. Partner with Finance and senior leadership on forecasting cadence, variance analysis, and corrective action planning.

Strategic Partnerships & Growth

Cultivate strategic relationships with clients, EPC/EPCM partners, OEMs, and specialty subcontractors to expand Elevate's CCX portfolio. Oversee capture planning and proposal development (qualification, estimating oversight, leveling of tenders, commercial terms, and close-outs). Support negotiations by articulating Elevate's value proposition and lifecycle delivery model.

Technology, Systems & Data Handover

Standardize and champion Completions & Commissioning Management Systems (CCMS) and digital workflows for progressive turnover and operations handover. Ensure document control integrity (as-builts, redlines, ITPs, test records) and robust reporting of system/subsystem completions.

Field Presence & Client Interface

Maintain a visible presence at key sites: readiness reviews, walkdowns, inspections, punch listing, and turnover/handover meetings. Serve as senior point of escalation to protect schedule, quality, and client operations.

Qualifications

15+ years in heavy industrial (oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, or power), with 10+ years leading commissioning/completions (MC/TO, deficiency management, dry/wet commissioning, and handover). Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent trade discipline with 15+ years relevant experience; PMP an asset. Demonstrated leadership of multi-discipline teams (E/I, mechanical/rotating, process, operations). Proficient with engineering drawings and documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, SLDs, isometrics) and with permit-to-work/LOTO and energization controls. Strong commercial acumen (P&L literacy, forecasting, contract/tender oversight) and proposal/negotiation support experience. Hands-on familiarity with CCMS platforms and common project controls tools (MS Project/Primavera, Excel/Power BI, Bluebeam/Acrobat). Excellent stakeholder communication; credible with client leadership and comfortable in the field.

Core Competencies

Safety-first, decisive, and action-oriented; systems thinker with a continuous improvement mindset. Builder/coach of teams; sets clear expectations and creates accountability. High judgment under pressure; anticipates risks and mobilizes mitigations early. Relationship-driven; adept at aligning partners to shared outcomes.

Work Conditions

Combination of office and field environments with required PPE on sites. Travel: Regular regional travel with periodic multi-day trips to project locations and partner sites. Hours: Flex as needed for bids, mobilizations, outages/turnarounds, and critical commissioning milestones.

Why Elevate
