We currently have an opportunity for a Manager, Business Systems, to join our IT team! As the Manager, Business Systems you will provide strategic and operational leadership in the optimization, integration, and support of SCU's core business systems. This role ensures that technology platforms enable operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional member experience. The Manager, Business Systems, acts as a key liaison between IT and business units, translating operational needs into effective technical solutions.
Specific Responsibilities
Lead performance, development, and integration of core banking systems (e.g., digital banking, loan origination).
Manage system upgrades, testing, and deployments with minimal disruption.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS, AML).
Collaborate with business units to align technology with strategic goals.
Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and platforms.
Provide high-quality service delivery and support across SCU locations.
Lead system-related projects and resolve escalated issues.
Mentor a team of business analysts and technical specialists.
Contribute to IT planning and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field (master's or certifications such as PMP, ITIL are assets).
Minimum 5 years of experience managing business systems in a financial institution, preferably a credit union.
Strong knowledge of financial services operations, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation.
Experience with platforms like Fiserv or similar core banking systems.
Proven project management and vendor negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with Manitoba's financial services landscape and SCU's community-focused mission is a plus.
