Manager, Business Development, N&P - (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)

The Manager, Business Development, Nitrogen & Phosphate reports to the Director, Business Improvement & Development, Nitrogen and is responsible for driving forward the development and execution of the Nitrogen and Phosphate business development strategy. They will be integral to the development of the Nitrogen & Phosphate business unit strategy, and lead a varied portfolio of Business Development initiatives and projects to drive the business in alignment with the strategy.

What you will do:

• Manage a team to support Business Development for the Nitrogen & Phosphate (N&P) business units
• Lead the development and drive alignment with key stakeholders on business unit strategy
• Oversee N&P Investment Portfolios, driving prioritization and funding decisions through economic analysis and alignment with strategy
• Work with stakeholders right across the organization to drive cohesion and direction of growth strategy
• Support the N&P leadership team in preparing presentation materials for various audiences, including monthly NPLT, ISC and ELT meetings
• Collaborate with Finance and Corporate Development teams to drive governance over capital investment projects
• Lead various business improvement and development initiatives/projects right across the N&P group

What you will bring:

• A Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related area and post-graduate designation such as a CFA, CPA, CBV or MBA in Strategy, Finance or similar
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills that facilitate a positive team environment
• Previous experience in developing and maintaining complex financial models
• Ability to summarize complex information, creating concise presentation materials to drive decision making at leadership meetings
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
• The ability to build relationships, influence and achieve alignment across a range of stakeholder groups
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize concurrent projects and deliverables
• Understanding of nitrogen and phosphate industry business drivers and operating activities considered an asset
