The Individual Learning Module (ILM) business, managed through a partnership of NAIT and SAIT, provides innovative and trusted learning resources to support trades and apprenticeship training, across Canada. With a reputation for quality and alignment to institutional and industry needs, ILM products continue to play a vital role in advancing learning outcomes and supporting educational excellence.






Reporting to the ILM Senior Manager, the Manager, Business Development & Learning Solutions is a dynamic role that combines strategic business development, product management, and customer support with a mandate to expand ILM's presence within Canadian post-secondary institutions. This role requires a collaborative and forward-thinking professional who can build strong partnerships, identify new growth opportunities, and ensure excellence across product development, publishing, sales enablement, and distribution management.






The Manager will be responsible for cultivating new institutional relationships, supporting distribution partners, enabling sales teams, and guiding the development of new ILM products to meet emerging academic and industry needs. By aligning publishing and product strategies with customer requirements, this role ensures the continued growth, reach, and relevance of ILM offerings.






As a strategic contributor, the Manager will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and leadership to strengthen ILM's market position and enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate business acumen, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to balance strategic growth initiatives with day-to-day operational support






Key Responsibilities:



Expanding ILM adoption across Canadian post-secondary institutes through business development and academic partnerships Support the publishing, development, and maintenance of print and digital ILM products. Leading initiatives to enhance sales enablement, customer support, and institutional engagement. Managing relationships with distribution partners to ensure efficient and effective access to ILM products. Identifying market trends and institutional needs to guide product innovation and growth strategies.

Skills & Abilities:





Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to expand market presence and adoption of learning products. Knowledge of product lifecycle management, from concept through development, publishing, and distribution Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze markets, trends, and customer needs to inform strategy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with educators, institutional leaders, and internal teams Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. Commitment to fostering continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (MBA or equivalent graduate education an asset) Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or product management, ideally in the education, publishing, or learning solutions sector. Demonstrated experience working with post-secondary institutions, training providers, or educational distributors.




Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

Remuneration

: $ - $ annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. O20 Job code.
