What is the opportunity?

The Global Reconciliation Services (GRS) team within Finance Shared Services provides reconciliation processing and finance support to various RBC business platforms and partners. The objective of our Reconciliation Process Strategy team is to reimagine and redesign the work that we do within GRS, by standardizing, simplifying and automating processes. Success is defined by delivering transformational changes that achieve measurable improvements in both process efficiency and employee satisfaction, and enhancing the capabilities and services of our team.

We are looking for a results orientated Manager, Business Analysis to join our amazing team! You will be responsible for identifying process optimization opportunities and supporting process redesign, while improving the documentation of functions across GRS and mitigating operational risk.

What will you do?

  • Maintain and continuously strives to improve Reconciliations while ensuring work performed is in compliance with Reconciliation standards, policies, procedures and in compliance with Statutory and Regulatory requirements.
  • Develops, shapes and re-works existing processes, as necessary, to ensure maximum effectiveness, efficiency and
  • In the case of process management, leads and documents root cause analysis investigations and creates and coordinates the implementation of corrective action(s) to mitigate reoccurrence
  • Monitors conformance to customer requirements and coordinates customer quality audits as needed
  • Leads the drive for quality improvement and business excellence
  • Leads projects specific to improvements to reconciliation processes, training or documentation as a Product Owner using Agile methodologies.
  • Serves as the Quality SME and point of contact
  • Serves as the SME for Continuous Improvement including lean and Business Excellence principles and tools.
  • Works with key partners to identify projects for improvement and leads implementation strategies.
  • Supports Management Review and actions
  • Leads on-site training delivery to drive business excellence
  • Reviews quality complaints and their associated investigations
  • Manages the Risk Management Process and procedures.
What do you need to succeed?

Must have:
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent practical experience (Business / Accounting preferred)
  • Good understanding of General Ledger reconciliation and attestation processes
  • Expert in people management and Stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with quality assurance management and process improvement methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of all Regulatory and Compliance rules as follows
  • Internal Audit reviews
  • SOX
  • Sense of urgency, ability to handle multiple demands amidst submission deadlines
  • Highly developed communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and their execution and application (i.e. Scrum/Kanban) preferably in an operations setting.
  • High level of initiative and motivation
  • Strong problem management skills
  • Change management minded
  • Advanced experience with Excel (Macros, VBA, etc.)
