Reporting to the Senior Manager, Building Operations and Maintenance, our organization is looking for a Manager Building Operations and Infrastructure to join our Real Property & Workplace Services division. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll provide leadership and guidance to staff, various contractors, consultants, and technical resources to ensure effective development and implementation of programs dedicated to sustainable operations in areas such as building maintenance, interior architectural systems and other services for our Richmond head office and province wide area offices.How you\xe2\x80\x99ll make a difference: You\xe2\x80\x99ll help create a sustainable workplace that allows people to thrive.Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll workIn this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from our Richmond office in British Columbia with occasional travel expected to various service delivery locations (SDLs) across the province.What you\'ll doAs a Manager Building Operations and Infrastructure you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of carpenters and maintenance staff, ensuring timely, efficient service.
  • Oversee the execution of facility operations and the management of trade services and contractors.
  • Develop and implement sustainable building management programs and standards.
  • Manage the lifecycle of facilities projects, from planning to completion, while ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to external contractors and consultants, managing contracts and performance.
  • Collaborate on tender processes and make recommendations on contract agreements.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate on Request For Proposals (RFP\xe2\x80\x99s) and tender.

Your experience and educational background:
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 (Five) years\xe2\x80\x99 of recent work experience in a similar role inclusive of experience managing staff and contractors/consultants, and project management.
  • Professional designation in construction management and/or facilities management such as Certified Construction Manager, Certified Facilities Manager, Facilities Management Professional, Sustainable Facilities Professional, Project Management Professional
  • Red Seal Trade is preferred
