In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Director, Budgets & Financial Analysis, the Manager, Budgets and Financial Analysis plans, organizes, and directs the staff and activities of the department and ensures department policies and procedures comply with professional, legal, and VIHA standards.

The Manager develops annual and multi year operating budgets, utilizing established information systems, procedures and methodologies and produces financial performance management reports for a variety of purposes, including monitoring financial performance.. The Manager works closely with senior management and colleagues ensure VIHA\'s strategic planning, operational and financial activity are integrated.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a recognized accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA) plus seven (7) years\' recent related senior financial administration experience with a minimum of five (5) years\' related management experience.
