We are currently looking for a Manager to join our team. TBJ LLP prides itself in being efficient, dependable, and providing quality financial information to our clients. We are a well-positioned firm in the growing Prince George market, providing accounting, tax, bookkeeping and management services. Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Completion of reviews, compilation engagements and occasionally audits including preparation of corporate tax returns \xc2\xb7 Perform detailed file reviews for correctness and completeness and provide corrective guidance to team members \xc2\xb7 Prepare and review personal tax returns \xc2\xb7 Manage and utilize resources when scheduling and budgeting, including monitoring deadlines on engagements \xc2\xb7 Train, guide and mentor students in their professional education and personal development \xc2\xb7 Maintain excellent client service by understanding how the client\xe2\x80\x99s business is performing to provide added value \xc2\xb7 Continually \xe2\x80\x9cthink outside the box\xe2\x80\x9d to develop critical thinking that goes beyond the status quo to find and implement creative and innovative problem-solving methods \xc2\xb7 Assist senior management in annual performance reviews \xc2\xb7 Encourage and support work/life balance \xc2\xb7 Participate in networking groups and events to develop rapport and build strong relationships with clients Qualifications and Experience \xc2\xb7 Completion of the CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) program \xc2\xb7 Management experience is an asset \xc2\xb7 Broad knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards as well as current income tax legislation \xc2\xb7 Experience with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Taxprep, Sage and QuickBooks \xc2\xb7 Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel at an intermediate / advanced level Are you a self-motivated individual who strives for excellence and has a strong desire to learn and grow?
