Position Summary

Our growing firm is looking to add a key member to our team. As an Audit Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the engagement, from planning to completion.

Role and Responsibilities

Perform initial review of audit, review, compilation and other assurance engagements. Produce financial statements that comply with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO). Provide coaching to junior team members as well as timely constructive feedback. Responsible for engagement budgeting and allocation. Monitor engagement progress against budgets and timelines. Assist in the review of tax compliance filings (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T5013, T5018, GST, etc.). Develop and maintain trusted client relationships including responding to client questions and inquiries. Contribute to development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes whilst working directly with partners.

Skills & Qualifications

Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation 3-5 years post designation of relevant work experience in public accounting Minimum 2 years review of audit, review and compilation engagements, including tax compliance. Extensive knowledge of ASPE and ASNPO. Experience with tax compliance preparation and/or review (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T5013, T5018, GST, etc.). Dedication to proactive thinking, integrity, precision execution and providing value-focused service. Experience with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, TaxCycle, Sage and QuickBooks.
