OverviewAs a manager analytics strategy and delivery within our organization, you\xe2\x80\x99ll effectively manage the analytics delivery business and team, re-defining alignment as the organization continuously evolves.As a thought leader for data and analytics you will provide leadership and direction to ensure the effective implementation of strategies, business plans, standards and processes.The scope of this role includes analytics delivery, Data strategy and governance, Data management and coding.How you\xe2\x80\x99ll make a difference: You\xe2\x80\x99ll turn data into knowledge that benefits workers and employers across B.C.Where you\xe2\x80\x99ll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from our Richmond office, with some flexibility to work from your home in B.C.What you\'ll doAs a manager analytics strategy and delivery you will:

  • Effectively manage a cross-functional team of data and analytics professionals by providing leadership, delegating, and giving direction in the development of operational plans, priorities, and objectives.
  • Provide input and leadership into departmental business planning and key decisions.
  • Identify and drive departmental improvements in productivity, timeliness, quality, customer experience, business value realization, sustainability, and team experience
  • Influence key business roles to think strategically about data, managing their business through use of data, measures, and analytics tooling, and leveraging data/analytics for specific \xe2\x80\x98business activity and decision optimization\xe2\x80\x99 use-cases.
  • Provide education and examples on where data and analytics can benefit a business area; endorse the \xe2\x80\x9canalytics maturity is business maturity\xe2\x80\x9d concept and be a driver of continuous advancement.
  • Continuously improve business value delivery through analytics by leading in the creation and execution of analytics business roadmap projects and improving analytics maturity using departmental maturity frameworks and value-based metrics.
  • Partner with the business to prioritize analytics roadmap projects as part of business analytics product management; influences priorities by connecting the dots to potential value and utility.
  • Be the relationship manager and business partner for assigned business areas by promoting a customer-centric approach. Defining customer service approach, requirements, and measures for the team.
  • Be the ultimate change manager for analytics/report/data changes within the assigned customer area;

  • Analyze complex technical challenges and provide technical solutions with a strong focus on customer service
  • Create a supportive and healthy working environment within the department by providing support, ensuring effective communication, promoting teamwork, and providing opportunities for staff involvement in planning and recognize employees\' contributions and achievements
  • Demonstrate success as an effective leader reflecting the WorkSafeBC Leadership Values and Competencies
Your background and experience
  • A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in related discipline
  • A minimum of five years of in a technical role
  • Must be technically proficient in data and analytics with working knowledge of analytics technologies and Microsoft Office technologies
