The Manager, Agency Smartmail Marketing Solutions manages Canada Post\'s relationships with Media Agencies with the objective of growing Canda Post\'s direct mail advertising revenue via the indirect Agency sales channel.

As the primary and dedicated Canada Post contact and relationship owner for Media Agencies, the Manager, Agency Smartmail Marketing Solutions utilizes their Agency channel knowledge, to develop Agency awareness of Canada Post\'s Smartmail Marketing solutions, through education and best practice sharing with Agency partners. This awareness is developed towards ensuring Agency adoption and effective positioning of Smartmail Marketing as a value-added component of their service offering to their customers.

Job Responsibilities

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Manager, Agency Smartmail Marketing Solutions.

  • Secures, manages and leverages Agency partnership agreements with assigned key accounts to achieve revenue growth targets via the indirect Agency sales channel while ensuring long-term revenue potential for Canada Post and its Agency partners.
  • Maintains and develops new & existing business relationships with Media Agencies and solves client requirements before they escalate, ensuring that solutions are identified and implemented by engaging the appropriate Canada Post resource such as Service and Operations.
  • Develops and presents a compelling value proposition of Smartmail Marketing solutions to Agency partners as part of their offering in strategically allocating customer advertising spend.
  • Analyzes Agency intelligence to identify business opportunities, and leverages internal resources such as data and marketing support to meet account plan strategy.
Job Responsibilities (continued)
  • Utilizing a consultative approach with Agency partners, identifies Agency customer needs and develops new bundled product and/or service offerings for sale by Agency partners to their customers.
  • Works closely with Industry Associations and internal marketing partners to gain customer insight and industry intelligence about possible enhancements and growth opportunities within the Media Agency sales channel while promoting the value of direct mail.
  • Conducts Agency Business Reviews with all key account partners on a regular basis, to review past performance and to ensure commitment to quarterly forecasts. Monitors and audits contracts and compliance with assigned customers to ensure performance conformity to contract levels.
Qualifications

Education
  • Completed post-secondary, preferably in Commerce or Marketing or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of media sales experience and/or senior agency experience.
Other Candidate Requirements
  • Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations to agencies, on a variety of topics including Smartmail Marketing.
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills and experience.
  • Sound organizational, analytical and decision-making skills with proven abilities in problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
