Make an impact with our Accounting Advisory Services team as a Manager. This diverse team of professionals is dedicated to exceeding clients\' unique needs within a rapidly evolving business and financial reporting landscape. As a trusted advisor, you\'ll collaborate on a range of technical projects, such as complex transaction accounting, go-public readiness, and financial reporting preparation to help finance leaders address their ever-changing accounting and financial reporting environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand project objectives, engagement terms, delivery plan, and project protocol
• Understand accounting and financial reporting issues, research and prepare accounting memorandums and financial statements under U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and ASPE
• Understand project challenges, implement solutions, and practice effective communication with clients and MNP team
• Embrace and leverage technology and accounting software to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of advisory services
• Ensure all activities adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct as required
• Prepare quality deliverables in line with engagement objective and delivery plan and facilitate review by team leadership
• Continuously develop technical, communication, and project management skills
• Assist in the delivery of comprehensive pragmatic solutions to clients
• Stay current with accounting and financial reporting standard
• Understand and contribute to practice and business development
• Maintain relationships with client management
• Contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
• Develop a thorough understanding of MNP\'s services, businesses and industry
• Raise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company-sponsored functions
• Network in the local business community and consider business development opportunities

Skills and Experience

• Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience
• Extensive knowledge of, and experience working with, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and in-depth knowledge of complex accounting issues and their implications for financial statements
• Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor projects
• Strong report and memorandum drafting experience
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial issues and solutions in a clear and understandable manner
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
• Dedication to collaboration and teamwork
• A problem solver who takes charge of creating solutions
