Reporting to the Associate Director, Academic Quality, the Manager, Academic Program Development, will play a key role in ensuring that Seneca's programs meet institutional, Ministry, and accreditation requirements while supporting an outstanding experience for learners.
Here's What's on Your Horizon
Lead New Program Development
: Take charge of developing new programs across academic Faculties, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and external requirements.
Support Program Staff
: Assist program staff in new program development and modifications, coordinating and reviewing their work to maintain alignment with institutional practices and policies and provincial requirements.
Collaborate with Stakeholders
: Work closely with Seneca stakeholders to gather input and insights necessary for successful program development and modifications.
Develop Critical Paths
: Collaborate with program chairs, deans, and managers to create critical paths for new program development, modifications, and QA projects, guiding projects from concept to ministry submission.
Lead Program Modifications
: Lead major and minor modifications across faculties, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and external requirements.
Project Manage Quality Assurance
: Project manage and contribute to quality assurance activities, working with program quality staff and obtaining final approvals from the Director, Program Quality.
Report and Enhance Processes
: Provide comprehensive reports to the Associate Director, Academic Program Development on project management efforts, and contribute to the enhancement of program review and program development processes and resources.
Promote Professional Development
: Organize workshops and resources for the Seneca community to enhance understanding and skills related to program development, modification, and curriculum development, promoting evidence-informed approaches and continuous learning.

What You Bring to Seneca
We are seeking a highly skilled leader with excellent interpersonal abilities and a dedication to ongoing enhancement. This role demands exceptional communication (oral and written), emotional intelligence, project management and people management capabilities, along with a commitment to effective consultation and collaborative problem-solving for addressing challenges and identifying opportunities.
In addition, we have the following qualifications in mind:
Post-secondary credential in Education, Quality Assurance, or Higher Education Administration.
5+ years of experience in program development, program modifications, curriculum development, and/or program/academic quality, preferably at the post-secondary level.
Strong understanding of Ministry, College Quality Assurance Audit Process (CQAAP), Credential Validation Service (CVS) and Post-secondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB) standards and requirements.
